A Quiet Week

Things have been pretty quiet around here lately. I caught a hellaciious cold last Sunday (the 22nd) and it knocked me out for a couple days. I’m mostly well, but Dana’s coming down with something now, unfortunately. In the meantime, here’s what has been keeping us busy:

  • Pownce is a new communication service that’s been lighting up the blog-o-sphere. I was fortunate enough to come across a invite and it’s a pretty cool service. I’ve been treating it as a mini-blog for links and such, but the file-sharing amongst friends is the central component that makes this service a standout from other communication services.
  • I was just fortunate enough to receive an invite for Grand Central, a unique new service that links all of your phone numbers to one number. This is clearly a pivotal service for folks with an on-the-go lifestyle. While we may not always be movers-and-shakers, it will be interesting to try the new service.
  • My current battle of the wills, is resisting the incredible deals over at Deal’s Outlet store. Currently, there are 17 22-inch monitors for oly $269! I’ve been spending a lot more time on my computer at home, and this is just what I’ve needed.
  • We recently purchased a VinoTemp wine refrigerator. It’s been a great home for our 2003 C.G. di’ Arie Zinfandels, 1997 La Gerla Brunello di Montalcino, 2000 Allegrini Amarone, 2000 Fianesco, and so on…
  • We’ve been looking at the Virginia Wine Festival. Hopefully, we’ll be able to make it.
