Comfortable Disappearance

Some of you might know that I had a mole removed on my head awhile ago. Dana has been telling me to get tested for a long time, and I never got around to it. Well, I finally did and it’s a good thing. The test results came back that I have a small area of melanoma on the top of my head. It doesn’t sound dangerous, but it’s kind of weird realizing that I have skin cancer. I’m pretty sure cancer doesn’t run heavily in our family, so I was kind of surprised…but then again, I don’t have a lot of hair covering the top of my head these days…

I’m not freaked, but I do have to get surgery, which is going to be weird. I’m not a fan of surgery, but it’s better than keeping cancer on my head.

It’s also kind of weird typing about it on this space. But I know that there’s more than a few people who keep their eyes here that I may not otherwise have a chance to tell in a timely way, so I figure what the heck…I’m a computer guy, so why not post the news here.
