Comfortable Disappearance

Monday I start a new assignment at the office.

I will be helping prepare for a really high-profile hearing on October 26th. I was asked for specifically, so it’s pretty flattering that people wanted me to do it. On the other hand, I have an enormous amount of stuff to take care of normally, and it’s going to be really difficult to prepare for this hearing and do all of my other tasks. I’ve made arrangements that should alleviate some of the burden, but I think the burden of the extra work will still be greater than my superiors think. With the hearing being so high-profile, the pressure is great, but I know I can do it…it’s going to be a rough month though. Hopefully some of my hard work will be televised and anyone reading this can see it.
